When kids fall ill or are injured and require complex medical treatment, it can impact the whole family. RMHC WA plays an unique role in enabling, facilitating, and supporting family-centred care within Western Australia’s child and adolescent health system.
Targeted for schools and pre-service teachers at universities, EDMed is a free professional development opportunity aimed at helping teachers understand how to better cater for children with complex health needs.
The module addresses strategies to support the physical, social, emotional, and academic wellbeing of children with a medical or mental illness or injury, as well as on how to support their siblings and families.
