Each year, we support around 2,000 families through our Hospitality cart.
RMHC SA has a Hospitality Cart that runs in the evenings across paediatric wards of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
Run by RMHC SA volunteers, the cart delivers snacks and refreshments to parents staying bedside with their child. Along with sustenance, the cart also provides toiletries and boredom busters at no cost to families.
Donations are essential to keep our carts well stocked and ensure that all parents on wards of the Women’s and Children’s Hospital are supported.
Caring for parents helps care for the child. Supporting parents’ physical and emotional wellbeing improves their ability to cope, make decisions and provide care for their child.
